An introduction to the Battle of Hastings where there is a starter recap activity linked to the Battle of Stamford Bridge. Students will learn about participants and reasons why William won the Battle of Hastings. Pupils to discuss a video link and discuss powerpoint reasons why William won. Main task is to use a template to write a newspaper front page article about the battle. Support slides with details of the battle in chronological order. This could easily run over two lessons with SEN students.
