This is a resource that I created to introduce my A level Lit students to Heaney. The series of lessons introduces Heaney, the exam and features such poems as ‘Digging’ and ‘Oysters’. This could also be used as unseen practice with higher Yr 11 students.
The students are encouraged to apply their analytical skills to decode the poems as well as to practise their research skills to find out more about Heaney’s life and writing.
