Students are given a ficticious absorption spectrum for light from a star. From this they can use their diffraction grating knowledge to calculate absorbed frequencies, they can then work out the absorbed photon energy and therefore the bohr model for the ficticious element involved.

Red shift is not included for simplicity

Answers included. Takes approx. 30 min, although time for this task is very dependent on ability, best for stretching top end.
