Ancient Greek Myths bundle - 18 lessons - Y4 and Y5

A well planned and fully resourced unit of work on Ancient Greek Myths. My class (which was made up of a lots of reluctant readers) absolutely loved this unit! Hooked was an understatement!

This unit of work is ideal for a 4 week unit on fantasy writing. It includes all planning, resources and slides. **Total of 18 lessons.

2 - character
a - create and describe a character
b - action writing - using multi-clause sentences
c - showing emotions, not telling (his eyes widened vs he was scared)
d - SPAG - inverted commas
e - use characterisation

3 - settings
a - SPAG - cohesive sentence openers
b - describe setting
c - suspense writing -hero finds creature’s lair
d - SPAG - paragraphs to show change in time and place
e - discuss & generate ideas for independent writing

4 - WRITING
a. planning
b - c. WRITE OVER 2 DAYS
e. edit and improve writing
