This 20 minute script was written by an experienced primary school Head of English who is also, outside of school, an award-winning writer. The script was penned for a high ability Year 4 class but is suitable for performance by any year group in KS2 or 3. The script is deliberately humorous, yet is also full of informative and educational learning opportunities about the ancient Maya culture. The script has 30 parts but these could easily be split or doubled up depending on the number of children involved.

What a fantastic assembly- our parents and children loved it. Thank you so much. Do you have any assemblies on WWII?

I didn’t feel this was going to fit the bill for my class assembly. There weren’t enough questions being asked and the plays in between insufficient to ensure a class of 30 are all involved equally. Good concept though

What an INCREDIBLE assembly resource! The parents loved it and the children thoroughly enjoyed performing. All our learning for the half term was bought together through this fabulous script. Thank you andytaylorwow! Please can I commission an assembly on composers from the Baroque Era as I am the music lead at my school?

I'm so grateful to have found this script. It's the best assembly I've put on in my teaching career. It was hilarious and had the audience laughing out loud throughout. The kids absolutely loved learning it and it includes a wide variety of interesting facts about the Maya. Thank you to the author; I was given so many compliments after. I strongly recommend purchasing this resource!
