A lesson that puts students in the role of the big three, deciding on how they will divide up Europe following the conclusion of World War One.

Included is a brief presentation looking at why the peace treaty was being negotiated and how Europe changed from 1914 to 1917 with the Russian surrender. Also included at the end of the presentation is how the peace makers actually decided to divide up Europe once students have discussed how and why they mapped Europe the way they did.

Also included is the blank map students will work on, a map of 1914 Europe to compare to and a map of 1917 as well as maps of how Europe was rearranged following the Treaty of Versailles.
