These are the notes that I made in the 2017/18 academic year, following the BRAND NEW AQA curriculum for A-Level geography. These notes are summarised from lessons and provide an overview of the changing places module as a whole.
The resource contains:
A main resource that contains the content covered in the changing places module. This includes ‘mini’ case studies that are applicable to specific areas of the topic.
A case study of a far place (Reykjavik)
A blank case study sheet which has been tailor-made to be comparable to the Reykjavik case study sheet provided. Students should fill this in using the example of their local town/city as a near place. They can then compare this to Reykjavik to analyze them and apply their findings to exam questions.
A glossary of important key words that can be found in the main resource.
This resource is not a comprehensive cover of the changing places module, however it can be used as a good starting point or support for concept consolidation.
