There are two lessons which deal with the governments of Harold Wilson and James Callaghan.
The first lesson looks at the government of Harold Wilson from 1974-76 and includes two hyperlinks which focus on the problems faced by Wilson and his resignation speech in 1976. There is a set of notes with the lesson.
The second lesson is on the government of James Callaghan from 1976 until Margaret Thatcher came to power in May 1979. There are two hyperlinks, one of Callaghan's promises when he came to power and a clip from a news broadcast after his death which gaves a recap of his political career. There is also a set of notes with this lesson.
