A complete 8 week SoL that is engaging and suitably differentiated for GCSE students to master the skills needed for the AQA English Language Paper 1. The scheme of learning focuses on the reading section of Paper 1 (questions 1-4) which is taught through the lens of Dracula which will expose students to extracts from 19th century fiction.

It's tough to pack in the English GCSE elements into 2 years... That's why this resource blends two elements with one to give your students more time to master and revise the skills.

The scheme of learning includes questions that have been designed around extracts from Dracula which mirror the AQA language paper 1 questions. These have formative and summative assessment tasks along with DIRT incorporated into the scheme.

Learning objectives are included at the beginning of every lesson and take students through the skills they will need to master for Paper 1. Lessons have also been made with the Assessment Objectives in mind (these are included within the PowerPoint.)

The resource is ready to use, with specific extracts identified by page numbers. It should be used in conjunction with the Dracula novel.

Activities offer differentiation opportunities with plenty of activities that have been designed to stretch and challenge each student in your class.
