AQA Entry Level 2 Maths - Money - PowerPoint Lesson and Workbook

This resource has been designed for students working towards the AQA Entry Level Certificate in Maths who are working at Entry Level 2. It contains an age-appropriate, 44-page workbook and an 80-slide PowerPoint lesson on money.

These resources will help pupils to achieve these outcomes:

appreciate the purchasing power of money
convert from pence to pounds and vice versa
make amounts of money up to £2 from given coins
make amounts of money in multiples of £5 from £5, £10 and £20 notes
calculate amounts of money in pence up to £1 and whole pounds up to £100 and give change

PowerPoint Lesson

The editable PowerPoint lesson explains all the skills needed to achieve the above learning outcomes. There are many examples and opportunities in the PowerPoint for students to practice and apply their money skills. It also contains links to several short videos on money and example money exam questions. It is ideal for introducing students to this component of the specification and for revision purposes.
