AQA Entry Level 3 Maths - Numbers to 1000

This resource has been designed for students working towards the AQA Entry Level Certificate in Maths who are working at Entry Level 3. It contains an age-appropriate, 200-slide Powerpoint lesson and a 79-page workbook on properties of number.

These resources will help students to achieve these outcomes:

read and write numbers to 1000
order and compare numbers to 1000
recognise place value in three-digit numbers
round numbers less than 1000 to nearest 10
round numbers less than 1000 to nearest 100
find 10 or 100 more or less than a given number
recognise and use multiples of 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 10, 50, 100

Workbook

The workbook includes 18 information pages, 55 worksheets (with answers), 3 progress checks and a certificate of achievement. It is provided in PDF and an editable PowerPoint version. It can be used for classwork, homework, revision or as an independent learning pack.

PowerPoint Lesson

The editable PowerPoint lesson provides many examples and opportunities for pupils to develop and practise the above skills and to apply them in real-life contexts. It contains links to several videos on the number system, place value, rounding, estimation and example exam questions. It is ideal for introducing the statistics component of the specification and for revision purposes.
