This PowerPoint could be used for department CPD. It is for the current AQA French speaking exam but could easily be adapted for Spanish / German / Italian / Polish or any other language currently offered by AQA.
I wanted to share how best to conduct the speaking exam and, in particular, ensure that students are given the best chances to succeed.
In this PowerPoint there are the key principles for conducting the exam, as well as some of the common mistakes made by teachers. I have also tried to explain the criteria to help you to ensure that students know what they should do in each aspect of the exam.
I have also included a teacher crib sheet for teachers to use when conducting the exam. This explains what the teacher should say in between each of the exam parts and the introduction script. It included key timings and reminders.
