Three activities / worksheets for students to help compare poems in the Love & Relationships Cluster
1 - ‘Comparison Grid 1’ - poems are paired and students should complete boxes with comments about similarities and differences in each one
2 - ‘Comparison Gid 2’ - poems are listed and students complete the boxes with comments about themes and features of each poem; they then list points from each poem they could compare to
3 - How Relationships are Presented - poems are listed with 3 or 4 comments for students about how relationships are presented in each poem. They then look for appropriate quotes from the poem to support. Whilst not strictly a comparison task, this does allow students to see the different ways in which love or family relationships can be presented.
