Designed for teachers (specialist and non-specialists) to deliver the memory topic. The simple design of this booklet allows for students to use for remote learning or to catch up on missed content which helps to promote independence . Sections could also be used for flipped learning.
The booklet includes some information that students would need with lots of parts for the students to complete. This can be done in class or as homework.
There are also quick quizzes at the back of the booklet on each smaller topic within the memory topic which is designed to help both teachers and students to assess attainment, understanding and retention of knowledge. These could be used as starters, plenaries or as homework. They can be teacher assessed, peer assessed or self assessed. I have made these into a competition within one of my classes as the students are motivated by competition! Each one also has extension tasks which allows the students to earn bonus points!
It also includes a key terms glossary that requires the students to compete which includes all the key terms that they need for this topic.
My students have commented that they like the simple design and that there is a good balance of information and tasks throughout the booklet.
