Ar an bhfeirm On the Farm Vocab Sheets

This wee booklet is good for vocabulary acquisition. Rather than giving students list of vocabulary and getting them to use it or just learn it, I like to scaffold for my less able pupils. I generally find with these tasks their retention is better. I then use these. I love using these type of activities for starters and plenaries too when we’re progressing to full sentences or fully written pieces.

The .PDF contains:

1. Two sheets sheet of farm animal portraits pictures where students can look up vocab or you can provide it.
2. Unscramble activity using the new vocabulary.
3. A fill in the gaps activity
4. A word search
5. A counting task using animal pictures (This also revises rules of bunuimhreacha neamhpearsanta)
