Art Animal Baseline Test Year 7 Introductory Lesson

This is a great first lesson for Year 7. Once students have been taught about the visual elements students can revisit this task to show progress.

This lesson is used to test what know students already have of the formal elements. Without any guidance students complete a baseline test which is a drawing of a parrot. This enables me to gain an understanding of their ability and opens up discussion in lesson 2 about the visual elements. It can also be used to collect their current WAG for data collection.
