Do you have art students that have a difficult time seeing all the color possibilities they could utilize when creating an artwork of a specific subject? These exercises should really help students explore color and the possibilities. You can pair these exercises with a unit on color theory.

This packet includes:

-Teacher Information Sheet

-Student Color Observation Sheet: Sky

-Student Color Observation Sheet: Outdoor Plant

-Student Color Observation Sheet: Stone, Cement, or Brick Walkway

-Student Color Observation Sheet: Patch of Grass

These sheets are based off of outdoor observations. So, they are a great opportunity for students to work in the outdoors or view a particular subject from a window.

Suggested Supplies: Students could use soft pastels (mixing colors as needed) or paint (mixing colors as needed).

I hope you find these exercises to be very helpful for you students!
