Welcome to Lesson 1 of an Art History scheme of work aimed at teaching primary-aged children six key art movements throughout history.
The PowerPoint includes:
- 3 differentiated worksheets (bronze, silver, and gold) based on the learned literacy and numeracy skills to access the timeline task (Task 1).
- A carefully curated group task, a starter, main including 2 tasks, and a plenary to summarize learning.
- An overview of the project as a whole, with the learning objectives and artistic outcomes.
Also attached to this bundle is the printable PDF needed for the group work starter of the lesson. Instructions on how to use this are given within the PowerPoint.
It’s based on a 1-hour lesson for primary-aged students, ideally year 5 and 6 but can easily be adapted with literacy tweaks for older or younger audiences.
