Arts Visuels: Le Groupe des Sept

Here is an art project that I have done with my junior students. This project was an introduction to my unit on Canadian art. It is meant to familiarize students with the Group of Seven and to explore the style and technique of these artists. This project has three components: a small introduction on the Group of Seven, a research component, a component in which the students are asked to reproduce a piece of art done by one of the members of The Group of Seven and a component in which they are to create their own artwork in the style of one of the members of The Group of Seven. There is an evaluation rubric included in the package.

This art project is an integrated project in that it integrates critical thinking, with French writing, and Visual Arts.
