This checklist is for Teachers of AQA GCSE PE 8582

The checklist outlines which student activities will require Audio visual supporting evidence in order for the students marks to be entered as part of their practical portfolio.

Please note that it is not as simple as "I cannot show the performance LIVE on the moderation day" therefore I must have AV supporting evidence.

The new specification demands that students are placed in "appropriately challenging" environments.

This may result in creative thinking by teachers as to how this can be achieved.

i.e. if you have a National standard football player who can only be seen LIVE on the moderation day playing in a football match which provides little challenge (standard of opponents / team mates) then for part 2 the student may well require supporting material of them playing in an environment which is appropriate to their performance level.

If you have a badminton player who's level of performance is so much greater than any other student within the school, then creative solutions like playing a teacher of a very good standard or bringing an student from outside of the school population may be required. If these solutions are not possible then again the student may well require additional AV supporting evidence.

Hopefully, this FREE checklist will help sharpen the focus on when AV is required and when it is not required.
