This ‘ready to use out of the box’ lesson has been designed for a triple science biology AQA class, although it can be easily adapted for other boards. This lesson focuses on protein synthesis which has been added to GCSE from A-level. AQA have attempted to simplify this content by using ‘template’ and ‘carrier molecules’ instead of mRNA or tRNA which I personally think has made things more complicated, especially when it comes to planning. I have therefore created this resource by creating my own schematic diagram as well as including a lot of practice questions to help students understand this complicated process, as the textbook explains protein synthesis very poorly in my opinion. I have ensured that the content matches the specification exactly.
