This activity explores and examines the point of view of Babe Ruth, a legendary baseball player known as the “Sultan of Swat” during the Roaring Twenties. Students will analyze Ruth’s perspective on sports, fame, and the fast-paced, changing culture of the 1920s. They will then answer corresponding scaffolding questions to better understand how entertainment, larger-than-life personalities, and the desire for fun and inspiration shaped the era.
