Bearings lesson with cartoon characters. I find bearings a very dry maths topic which is important and needs enlivening! Two worksheets, (watch out for printer settings - the distances may need adjusting!). After working through the two sheets I give out two copies of one of the other sheets and ask them to plan a route on one map and write instructions which they then swap with a classmate with the blank map for the other to see if the 'directions' work.
