Beginning to Work with Number Lines KS1

Here is a fun way to introduce or work with number lines at KS1 from 0 to 10.
This activity has a flower theme but the templates included allow you or the children to make their own themed number lines e.g. transport or toys.
Sheet 1 shows 2 number lines with a flower or leaf at each number.
Cut and laminate the sheets so children or groups of children can use them.
Sheet 2 asks children to use the Flower number line to write down the numbers of each picture.
They then use the Flower number line to answer 3 addition questions and write / draw the answers.
Sheet 3 asks children to use the Flower number line to draw the pictures for each number.
They then use the Flower number line to answer 3 subtraction questions.
Sheet 4 is the template number line for children to add their own themed pictures to.
Sheet 5 is a template question sheet for you to fill in.
