This power point is in-line with the new Edexcel 2018 IAL Biology Syllabus and tackles syllabus points 4.16, 4.17, 4.18. The presentation covers the heterozygosity index and the index of biodiversity - both of which are new to the AS syllabus. The students have access to Lesson Objectives, Lesson outcomes, key words as well information about the content. The presentation also includes an activity students can take part in as part of the lesson.
The activity is designed to take about 30 minutes and is based on an idea I found online to help students tackle these equations.
