This lesson is designed to last for 50-60 minutes and is resourced with videos, extension questioning, deep thinking and uses graphs/images to aid learning.
This lesson follows the Oxford KS3 curriculum and looks at the world’s biomes specifically tundra, taiga, temperate forest, rainforest, savanna and desert. Students have information sheets provided which they will use to explore these biomes including their climate, animals and vegetation and what they look like. More advanced students should also be able to explore why they are located where they are.
This lesson includes a starter, lesson objective, plenary and various student led activities.
