Black Watch by Gregory Burke - I have put together two power point presentations that contain various tasks that will enable A Level students doing the OCR A Level in Drama and Theatre - to revise and gain a deeper understanding of Black Watch as a play and its contexts, themes, motifs and symbols.
Students completing these tasks will have to have access to copies of the play but not necessarily to have seen it.
Tasks include; researching into the context and history of Black Watch and its involvement in the 2003/2004 Iraq conflict, cast rehearsal diaries, character profile tasks, costume and set design tasks.

this does not fit the purpose - these are basically watch and discuss tasks - no information given. Waste of money.
I was hoping for a resource that would help my students to understand the context of the play and I don't think this resource does that. The task on it asks students to research it themselves, which - had I known - I wouldn't have paid for. There is also no recall or going over the context to ensure students understanding of the Iraq war.
