This is a brand new scheme of work that has been recently designed for KS3 - year 8 students. There is a lot of work on the novel but then additional activities which prompts students to think about the lives of asylum seekers and refugees with additional reading for non-fiction resources as well as integrated videos. The scheme also embeds reference to the human rights act.
There is a balance of analytical writing and creative writing throughout the scheme.
There are 40 lessons in total with all additional resources included.
