This Brian Banks Movie Guide | Worksheet | Questions (PG13 - 2018) challenges students to learn from Brian’s struggles and persistence. Write a persuasive argument to the California Innocence Project on behalf of Brian. Ask students to put themselves in Brian’s 16 year old shoes, weigh the information he had available, and decide whether or not to plea no contest. Evaluate Jerome Johnson’s inspirational quotes and identify how they changed Brian’s life. Finally, research and provide a brief summary of the book Brian is seen holding throughout the film, As a Man Thinketh by James Allen.

This resource consists of 10 high-level, short answer and essay questions that will do more than just ask your students to regurgitate information.
