Budget Mystery

In this mystery, the pupils are given lots of information about a family, and are asked to work out if they can afford to go on holiday this year, or if they need to save up. All relevent information is provided, including current tax rates and allowances. The spreadsheet gives a breakdown of the whole mystery, with easy to change values should you wish to update or change certain things. I envisage this being a good start to a mini-project in budgeting, preferably with access to Excel. Let me know what you think.
