This engaging sustainability project challenges students to redesign their school to be more eco-friendly.

Working in form groups, in teams of five, pupils will create a 3D model of a sustainable school using recyclable materials – or alternatively, design their school using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools like Tinkercad or SketchUp.

The project encourages teamwork, creativity, and an understanding of environmental responsibility. Pupils must include key school areas (e.g. classrooms, sports facilities, green spaces) and incorporate innovative eco-friendly features such as solar panels, recycling systems, and renewable energy solutions.

Includes:
Clear slide-by-slide project instructions
Success criteria and optional bonus challenges
Vocabulary list
Flexibility for both physical and digital (CAD) modelling

This cross-curricular activity combines STEM, Design & Technology, and Geography with personal development themes like teamwork and sustainability.
