Buttons on Your Computer is a lesson meant for the very youngest users in your school. Very often students do not use desktop computers at home and may not even be familiar with how to use a mouse. This lesson is designed to help your students learn about the Minimize, Maximize and Close (Exit) buttons used with Windows computers.
It is a fun and interactive lesson which will have your students excited and easily remembering those very important tools!
What is included:
Lesson Plan
PowerPoint presentation
Worksheets to use with the lesson - color and black and white options
Buttons on Your Computer poster with printing instructions
Audience:
This lesson is suitable to be used with students in Kindergarten and 1st grade. If you find your older students struggle with these functions it would be useful to introduce the lesson to them as well. You know your students; feel free to adjust as needed.
Lesson:
This lesson is best used at the beginning of the year with young students who are not familiar with Windows based computers. It can be used after my Learn the Parts of a Computer lesson. Students should each be at a computer or laptop so that they are able to do the practice themselves.
This version of Buttons on Your Computer is based on Windows 7; if you would like a Windows 10 version made just leave me a comment. I’m happy to tailor lessons to your needs.
