Such a useful resource for those that need a bit of help with self-regulation.

These can be printed out as posters, cut out as prompt cards or kept in individual’s trays/packs.

To get the best out of these, I would talk through each one with a child when they are in a calm state of mind. Go through the cards together and ensure they understand any words they don’t understand. Includes picture prompts to aid understanding.
It is good to check in and rehearse these strategies on a frequent basis as it is better to prevent a meltdown than cure one.
