This may suit KS3 or KS4. I have seen and used (although a while ago) a similar nitrogen cycle game with KS3 and KS4.
For higher ability KS4 I have added a file for constructing a carbon cycle of their own.
You will need dice and each student will need a passport. They have a starting destination and write it on their passport. When they get to the desk with that destination, they roll a dice and it gives them the name of the next destination. When they get there, they write it in their passport. At the end, they use their passports and a copy of the carbon cycle to tell the story of their journey.

I used this resource with my grade 9 applied science class. Really easy for the students to follow along and generated interest and discussion. When we had a "traffic jam" of students as carbon in the atmosphere it really drove home the reality of how much carbon we actually are dumping into the air.
