These are four case study based work sheets, each covering one of the following scenarios in economics (with case study title showed in brackets):
- Positive externality in consumption (higher education)
- Negative externality in consumption (cigarettes and vapes)
- Positive externality in production (recycled bottles)
- Negative externality in production (breweries)
Instructions for teachers: these case studies can be used as individual activities, either as printed worksheets or as digital worksheet. If using these as digital worksheets, ensure that every student has their own digital copy of this resource. If you use Google Classroom, then this can be done be selecting the option “create a copy for each student” when setting the task.
Expected completion time: Depending on current understanding of learners, each case study could take 20 to 40 minutes to complete.
Suggested qualifications: GCSE Economics, A Level Economics.
