Mitosis and the cell cycle can be difficult to teach and learn. The Cell Cycle card game can increase interest in the subject and help students see how the phases fit together, what disrupts the cycle and what prevents mutations. This colorful card game is aligned with the Next Generation Science standards and the Virginia SOLs. (.PDFs in a ZIP folder)

The game consists of 55 unique cards, diagrams, rules and variations, links to online review games, kinesthetic brain break games with 8”x11” .PDFs to play them or to use on bulletin boards plus an assignment for creative students.

The graphics on each card will help ESL and struggling readers. The game provides an excellent anchor activity for students who finish early or need a challenge. This game can be used to differentiate instruction or provide tiering if cards are used as a sort rather than a game for struggling students.
