Children can plot a simple line graph to show how a story's character feels throughout a story. This could be a guided reading holding activity, an activity to complete about a home reading book or as a speaking and listening activity. Graph has 4 feelings levels and asks children to think about the character's feelings at the beginning, middle and end.

This was a useful way for the children to notice the ups and downs of the emotions expressed by characters in our reading.

Thank you so much. The children have never produced an emotions graph before, so I think this will be a fun introduction with the faces.

Will use with children to represent main character's changing emotions at a key point in the story. Thank you.
