Powerpoint to introduce 9 personality adjectives (kreativ, nett, faul, intelligent, schüchtern, lustig, musikalisch, sportlich, laut), description of hair, height and build.
Slide 1 - Er hat or Er ist starter
Slide 2 -shows the 9 adjectives for students to guess and consider pronunciation
Slides 3-11 -images to represent the adjectives
Slides 13-21 'funny' pictures- student faces the class and guesses the adjective demonstrated by the image. Rest of class shout 'nein!' and 'ja!' when the student gets it right
Slides 22-29- creating sentences about self and others- get students to discuss how to improve their sentences - use mini-whiteboards for students to write sentences-could be individually or as a group, 2/3 words each.
Slide 30- gapfill using 'nicht'
Slides 31-32- introducing height and build adjectives
Slide 33- students work out as many hair adjectives as they can and match to images (students could transfer this knowledge to describing eye colour-work it out for themselves)
Slide 34- match descriptions to celebrities- students could add personality/other physical description - examples on slide 35.

Slide 38- new vocabulary- use thinking skills before dictionaries
Slide 39- who is being described? Image animated to come up on next click
