In 2001 Chichester College took the decision that if it was to succeed in encouraging employers to take on and train apprentices then they should be setting an example within their own staff. The college now employs 58 apprentices working in various directorates within the college. The college benefits by saving on recruitment costs, which then frees up more funds for additional staff.
