This assembly looks at when and why Chinese New Year is celebrated, the key dates in the build up to it and looks at popular customs associated with the occasion.
The assembly also looks at the Chinese sign of the zodiac and key personality traits in regards to each sign.
It finishes with a chance for the students to guess which foods are considered lucky or unlucky and importantly why.
