Christmas Math Mystery – Case of The Selfish Elf (GRADE 2 US Common Core aligned). Engage and motivate your students during math time with this fun Christmas activity!


Students have to use their math skills to eliminate suspects so they can find out who the Selfish Elf is!

There are 5 clues to crack to solve the mystery:

Clue 1: Skip-Counting Sequences (2s, 5s, 10s)
Clue 2: Place Value of the Underlined Digit (Hundreds, Tens, Ones)
Clue 3: Add 3 One-Digit Numbers
Clue 4: Subtracting One-Digit Numbers from Two-Digit Numbers (without regrouping)
Clue 5: Time (O'Clock, Half Past, Quarter Past, Quarter To)
