This is a great activity for last week of term Christmas . I've shamelessly altered the original but don't know who the original author was so i take no credit for the basis of this.
I've removed the "killing" and "bombing" of the original with more suitable christmassy things - like the Grinch and Scrooge...
Pupils fill a grid with money and icons and the teacher then proceeds to randomly call out coordinates. Students have to keep a running total of their "bank" and there's lot of interactivity. Great for basic numeracy, coordinates and laughs!

My classes loved this game last year and the new version this year too. They responded enthusiastically and realised the need for observation and tactics! Great fun!
Teachers and students at my school have been enjoying this for a couple of years - I'm sure lots of others will also have fun. We like to put Maths questions over the coordinates so they have to answer them before removing the square.
