Useful couple of lessons to use with pupils either just before or after Christmas.
Pupils read and study the poem Christmas Thank Yous and identify the different ways in which the poet has managed to find the positive in some terrible Christmas presents.
Pupils then use those skills to use to write their own thank you for a terrible present. This can take the form of a letter or text message.
