This booklet consists of a scheme of sixteen lessons on Darren Shan’s ‘Cirque du Freak’. It is a self-contained study booklet that could be used for both in-person and remote learning. This booklet was created to enhance student’s basic literacy skills and expand on their knowledge in readiness for GCSE Literature and Language.
This booklet has been tried and tested with Y7, Y8, and Y9 classes of a range of abilities. It has been delivered as a once-a-week and literacy booster sessions scheme.
