This lesson is aimed at Year 7's and looks at who should be the next King of England just before teh Battle of Stamford Bridge and the Battle of Hastings.
It asks the pupils to consider who should be the next King, based on a number of different criteria, and using a few basic maths skills to arrive at a conclusion based on the three main claimants at the time.
There is then a writing task to consolidate pupils understanding.
It comes with a powerpoint, a differentiated handout for weaker classes, a video, and a homework/plenary writing task.
