What does it mean to be British?

A class assembly script based around the topic of British Values. The script is written for a class of 20 pupils but is easily adaptable for up to 30-32 parts.
It was originally performed by a class of Year 5 pupils but would be appropriate for years 3-6. Our performance lasted approximately 20 minutes, including songs. Includes suggestions for songs, sound effects, costumes and props.

The assembly begins with a humorous view of ‘stereotypical’ Britons before introducing the idea of British Values, explaining the meaning of Democracy, The Rule of Law, Individual Liberty, Mutual Respect and Tolerance. This assembly received lots of praise from both parents and SLT members and the children loved performing it!
