Class Pet Project

This is a plan, workbook and extra sheets for a project to decide which animal would make a good class pet.

The workbook includes spaces for research, planning where the pet would be in the room, comparing aninals. Students look at the cost of buying and caring for the animal as well as considerations such as space required, habits, and wheter the animal is nocturnal.

This can be used to aid students with long term planning, measuring, representing size, budgeting and presentation skills.
The teachers' plan gives ideas for activities and ideas for students to create their own artefacts.
The maze worksheet can be used for a starter.
There is an extra sheet for investigating extra animals.
