A fun 3 lesson activity to use after the introduction of Trigonometry (although it only uses tan). I have used this for a Year 8 class.
Lesson 1: Discussing and making clinometers
Lesson 2: Using clinometers to measure features around the school
Lesson 3: Using measurements to calculate heights.
