This is a collection of numbers you can use to do an activity with a length of rope and some pegs. Two students hold each end of the rope (or put it on the floor for smaller groups) and other students peg their number on the line (start with easy ones like 1/2 or 0.5 - which can easily be checked by folding rope in half). There are a mixture of numbers so you differentiate easily.
Super challenge: place x and ask then ask where would 2x be placed.
I have also made smaller sized numbers if you want to give each student their own numbers (print on coloured paper to help you differentiate)
