Computer games design lesson (ideal for observations) - Simple, easy and student centered.

This is a lesson I created for an observation a while ago and it went down very well.

This lesson focuses on students looking briefly at a basic game of Tic tac toe.

The students are then paired into groups and tasked with changing 3 rules of tic tac toe and after they have done so, they are to present their findings to the grou, where the group can feedback with questions.

The objectives of the lesson is to teach the learners that small changes to game rules and mechanics can have big impacts on the games themselves.

This lesson is fun and involving and includes an interactive powerpoint sand timer!

I recommend that you give the learners working in groups, A3 paper and pens for the activity!

This is only 5 slides long and expect it to take 1hr long including the activity.
